Introduction

Hello! I'm Shortie!

Thank you for visiting my website. "Shortie" is my nickname, because I'm a very short one (142cm). I was born in 1975, and my real name is Naoko Maeda (my maiden name is Naoko Aoyama), married with Ryuichi in year 2000.

The reason why I made this website is, that I wanted to tell you how fun it is to be a motorcyclist. Before then, everyone told me that it's impossible to pass motorcycle license exam because I'm too small. (In Japan, you'll need actual riding exam with 400cc motorcycle, in order to acquire the license)

At that time I had no one to turn to, but I tried anyway, and I made it !!! Now I own many motorcycles - mostly off-road type - such as HONDA SL230, others 50-80cc. The fun part is, that I might be the smallest motorcyclist in Japan.

Since then, I have traveled all around Japan with my motorcycles.... I'd like to show you the beauty of my country throught the photos I've taken. These tourings were really precious experience to me. I've met lots of people - older people, younger people - which I feel, expanded my point of view.

I know motorcycle can never be a confortable transportation compared to cars. But still, I love them. Because motorcycling gave me lots of gifts, such as freedom, strength, friendships, sceneries,.... and even my husband!
